Painting since early childhood, Stefan won the first of many awards at the age of six. The suppression of his innovative approach, classified as too progressive eventually drove him away from his native country of Bulgaria.

Stefan is concerned with classical themes with a contemporary interpretation, specializing in mural painting, illustration, and design. Original paintings by Stefan Andreev are found in private collections as well as on public display throughout Europe and America.

Stefan's innovative spirit contributes to the unique creativity displayed in his extensive body of work.

In 1989 Stefan founded Catchlight Studio in Washington D.C.. The studio specializes in photography, fine art, and design. Through Catchlight Studio, Stefan pursued many artistic endeavors in the Unites States and Europe.
